Their unexpected run and subsequent loss in the 2015 World Series was an unforgetable roller coaster ride. This year, the team has been plagued by injuries to many key parts to the puzzle and a repeat performance has looked highly unlikely. The patched together line-up has once again over achieved and the team is in the thick of the Wild Card race. We actually control our own destiny. Years of losing make this surprising turn of events very sweet. Time will tell if there is a celebration in my home. At the least the situation has connected me with fellow sufferers nationwide.
