Riding with the King

Sadly, BB King passed away this week. You can’t overestimate the influence he has had on music and guitarists since he gained popularity. There would be no Eric, no Jeff, no Stevie Ray and maybe even no Jimi without him. I wore out Live at the Regal on my turntable in my formative years. I spent many 6 set nights on the stage at Lucille’s inside BB King’s Blue’s Club in Times Square. We actually played the night of his 80th birthday. He has passed at 89. Forever the King. RIP.
